WELCOME to department of Botany
The Department of Botany was established with the UG programme (B.Sc.) on 15th June 1985. The department has played an important role in developing interest of students in Botany. The department always emphasizes the interacting teaching for the teaching and learning process along with demonstration method for practical experiments, Online mode of teaching is also applied as and when needed.

Presently, qualified CHB teachers are involved in teaching, learning and evaluation as well as extension, co-curricular, extra-curricular and cultural activities. The department has well equipped and furnished laboratory and ICT facilities. The teachers and students actively participate in various activities organized under the banner of Botanical Society. The department has a Nature club also. Recently in 2020-21, a certificate course in “Mushroom Production” has been introduced.
