World AIDS Day, observed on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. The Zoological Society of Department organised the guest lecture for awareness. Chief guest Mr Jayesh Hajare,Assistant Professor, N H college Bramhapuri, talked on the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) which is a life-threatening condition caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The HIV virus attacks the immune system of the patient and reduces its resistance to other diseases. Also he has well explained on molecular mutation of HIV with AIDS prevention and control. Dr Umesh Indurkar comparer the programme & introduced the guest. Dr Vaishali Dorlikar proposed the vote of thanks. Mr Dhiral Atla, Assistant Professor, N H college Bramhapuri & all staff member of Zoology graced the function.
