Complete Story

A World Tribal Day was organized on 16th August 2023 in Hall No. 1 on behalf of National Service Scheme of Shri Dnyanesh College. This includes the overall life and culture of tribals in contemporary India. Their problems and the root causes of tribal issues were discussed at length. On this occasion, Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar assumed the position as the chief guide to guide the students of National Service Scheme. Who is Adivasi? He started the discussion from this question to the students. By introducing the various cultures of Chandrapur-Gadchiroli district, he also gave a broad introduction to the tribal society, culture and language. What measures can the National Service Scheme take after tracking the issues of tribals in this area? This was discussed with the students. Dr Gajanan Kortalwar, Program Officer, National Service Scheme conducted the program and introduced the guests. Prof. Hemant Meshram, Joint Program Officer, gave the vote of thanks.

Outcomes / Outputs of Activity

1. It helped the students to develop social consciousness.
2. Culture and language of various tribal tribes of Chandrapur-Gadchiroli district were
introduced.
3. Pros and cons were discussed on how to solve the problems of tribals on behalf of National
Service Scheme.
