The third activity, the Spontaneous speech competition was organized on the third day, Tuesday 26th September 2023 from morning 11.30 am to 1.00 pm of the week 2023 on the occasion of NSS Day on behalf of National Service Scheme Department of Shri Dnyanesh College Nawargaon.
In the spontaneous speech competition, tickets were prepared according to various contemporary issues in society. It was necessary for the contestants to present their study and reflection for five minutes on a given topic by picking up a piece of paper on time. A total of nine students participated in this competition. In the spontaneous speech competition, the students expressed their thoughts on the topic that came up at the time through this speech. Dr. Lalit Ujede, Head of department of the English, and Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar, of the college, acted as judges for this competition. Both the examiners were welcomed by the program officer Hemant Meshram. Gajanan Kortalwar, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme, and coordinator of the program, presented the role of organization of spontaneous speech competition. A large number of National Service Scheme volunteers and other students of the college were present to listen to the student’s speeches in the competition. The entire program was conducted by Rahul Shende, BA’s third-year NSS volunteer. Vote of thanks presented by Kartik Thackeray of B.A Final year.

Outcomes / Outputs of Activity

1. Volunteers from various classes of the National Service Scheme showed their mettle by taking part in a spontaneous speech competition for the first time.
2. It is proved that students can speak for five minutes even on a given topic at any instance.
3. The presented competition proved beneficial in improving the art of elocution among many students.
