NSS wing of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon observed ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ campaign with very enthusiastic atmosphere. About 63 NSS volunteers along with teachers and non-teaching staff participated in a tree plantation campaign on 9th July 2024.
This event aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tree plantation campaign, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree for Mother). The volunteers touched Mother Earth with bare hands, dug the soil with spades, and then planted the saplings at the institution’s land.
The forest department situated in Nawargaon gave 100 saplings to the college for the plantation drive.
Dr. L. C. Ujede, Off Principal of the institution, Dr. Hemant Meshram, NSS Program Officer,Mr. Durgesh Kshirsagar NSS Program Coofficer, Mr. V. A. Salkar, RFO, Sindewahi, Mr. S. B. Usendi, Regional Assistant, Mr. J. S. Vaidya, Forest Guard, Ratnapur and Mr. N D Sahare, Forest Guard, Nawargaon were also present for the drive.
