A free health and cancer screening camp was organized by the NSS Department of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya in Navargaon, in memory of late Dr. Manohar Anande, on the occasion of the Amrit Mahotsav (75th anniversary) of the Bhartiya Shikshan Saantha, Nawargaon. The camp was formally inaugurated by senior Dr. Devrao Borkar. 525 patients were examined at the camp. Free check-ups and free medicines were provided to patients suffering from various ailments including cancer, diabetes, blood pressure, rheumatism, kidney stones and urinary tract diseases, heart disease, obstetric and gynecological problems, and pediatric issues.
For this camp, expert doctors from the National Cancer Institute in Nagpur, including Dr. Maithili Pandey and her team, as well as heart specialist Dr. Meda from Chandrapur, general physician Dr. Rohan Kotkar, surgeon Dr. Adarsh Kamkam, gynecologist Dr. Sonali Anande, pediatrician Dr. Sachin Borkar, kidney stone and urinary tract specialist Dr. Ajinkya Anande, and coordinator Dr. Ashish Gahane, along with Dr. Hatwade and her team from the Navargaon Primary Health Center, provided their services. All the doctors expressed their satisfaction at being able to provide free services to more than 500 patients from Navargaon and the surrounding areas. The program was conducted by Prof. Dr. Hemantkumar Meshram, NSS Program Officer. The President of the institution, Jayant Borkar, Secretary Sadanand Borkar, and Principal Amrit Lanje expressed their gratitude to all the expert doctors. All the teachers and non-teaching staff were present at the program.
