The inauguration of Social Equality Week was organized on 08 April 2026 at Pasayadan Hall of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon with great enthusiasm and social commitment. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the college administration and the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit with the objective of spreading the message of social equality, unity, and constitutional values among students and society.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to the portraits of great social reformers Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and Krantojyoti Savitribai Phule who dedicated their lives to social justice and equality. The dignitaries present on the occasion emphasized the importance of equality, fraternity, and social harmony in building a progressive nation.
The Principal of the college Dr. Amrut Lanje presided over the function and highlighted the relevance of Social Equality Week in today’s society. In his address, he encouraged students to follow the ideals of social reformers and actively participate in social awareness activities.
The NSS Programme Officer Dr. Hemant Meshram explained the objectives of organizing Sa Social Equality Week and informed students about the various activities planned throughout the week, such as awareness rallies, lectures, oath ceremonies, community service activities, and educational programmes promoting equality and constitutional values.
Students participated enthusiastically in the inaugural programme and expressed their commitment toward eliminating social discrimination and promoting harmony in society.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, teaching staff, NSS volunteers, and students for their active participation and cooperation in making the inauguration programme successful.
