Under the observance of Social Equality Week, the birth anniversary of Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotirao Phule was celebrated on 11 April 2026 in the Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon with great enthusiasm and respect.

The program began with the garlanding and floral tribute to the portrait of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule by the Dr. Amrut Lanje, Principal, faculty members, and students. The objective of organizing this program was to remember the remarkable contribution of Mahatma Phule towards social justice, equality, women’s education, and the upliftment of marginalized sections of society.

On this occasion, Dr. Hemant Meshram, NSS Programme officer highlighted the life, work, and progressive thoughts of Mahatma Phule. They emphasized his efforts in promoting education for women and oppressed communities and his role in fighting against social discrimination and injustice. The speakers appealed to students to follow his ideals of equality, humanity, and social reform in their daily lives.

The program successfully created awareness among students about social responsibility and the values of equality and fraternity.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants and organizers for making the event successful.
