A University-Level Workshop on the newly introduced English curriculum for Semesters V and VI under the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) was successfully organized by Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon, in collaboration with Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, at the college’s Pasaydan Auditorium.
The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Sadanand Borkar, Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Sanstha, Nawargaon. The programme was presided over by Dr. A. S. Lanje, Principal of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya.
The resource persons included Dr. A. V. Dhote, Chairperson, Faculty of Humanities, Gondwana University; Dr. S. G. Gahane, Chairperson, Faculty of Commerce and Management; and Dr. (Mrs.) Narwade, Member of the University Senate. They delivered comprehensive sessions on various aspects of the new curriculum, highlighting the changes introduced under NEP-2020, effective implementation strategies, possible challenges, and practical solutions. The workshop also featured an in-depth and constructive discussion on the adoption and execution of the revised syllabus.
A large number of English teachers from colleges affiliated with Gondwana University participated enthusiastically. The participants actively engaged in the discussions and clarified their queries regarding the new curriculum.
The programme was compered by Prof. Kshirsagar. The introductory remarks and the vote of thanks were delivered by Dr. L. C. Ujede, Head of the Department of English and the Organiser of the Workshop.
