A Free Blood Testing Camp was organized at Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon by the National Service Scheme (NSS) of the college in collaboration with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Lok Kalyan Samiti, Nagpur, with the support of Mr. Ajay Bhandekar and his team. The camp was conducted through the Sushruta Chandrapur Centre to promote health awareness and early detection of blood-related disorders among students.
Various blood investigations were conducted free of cost, including Complete Blood Count (CBC), HPLC and Sickle Cell testing, along with other necessary blood tests. The students were provided with basic information regarding hemoglobin levels, blood cell status and the importance of early detection of hereditary blood disorders such as sickle cell disease.
The camp was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Amrut Lanje, Principal, Dr. Hemant Meshram, NSS Programme Officer, and Prof. Ravindra Deulwar. The active cooperation of Mr. Ajay Bhandekar and his team, RSS Lok Kalyan Samiti, Nagpur, and the Sushruta Chandrapur Centre contributed significantly to the successful completion of the programme and total 274 students benefited from the free blood testing camp.
The programme proved beneficial in promoting health awareness, preventive healthcare and early screening among the students.
