Various competitions were organized for students at Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Navargaon, on 24 September 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Pasaydan Hall on the occasion of National Service Scheme (NSS) Foundation Day.
The programme was organized with the objective of developing social awareness, creativity, general knowledge, writing skills, and awareness about the activities and objectives of the National Service Scheme among students. Competitions such as a Quiz Competition, Garland and Bouquet Decoration Competition, and Essay Writing Competition were conducted as part of the celebration.
In the Garland and Bouquet Decoration Competition, students presented attractive, creative, and artistic decorations. An Essay Writing Competition was also organized on the topic, “Contribution of the National Service Scheme to the Personality Development of Students and to the Nation.” The students participated enthusiastically and showcased their knowledge, creativity, writing abilities, and artistic talents.
During the concluding programme, the students securing first and second positions in the various competitions were felicitated with attractive prizes at the hands of the President, Smt. Geeta Sonawane; Chief Guest, Dr. Gajanan Kortalwar; and Prof. Sunil Kumbhare.
In his address, Dr. Gajanan Kortalwar highlighted the significance of the National Service Scheme and its role in developing responsible and socially conscious citizens. In her presidential address, Smt. Geeta Sonawane explained the significance and symbolism of the NSS logo.
The programme was introduced and conducted by Dr. Hemant Meshram, NSS Programme Officer, who presented the introductory remarks and welcomed the dignitaries.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amrut Lanje. NSS Programme Officers Prof. Ravindra Deulwar, Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar, and Prof. Deeplata Pustode played an important role in planning and conducting the various activities.
The programme concluded with the recitation of Pasaydan.
