Complete Story

As per academic plan, the college conducted a meeting on 05/12/2023 for the organization of annual gathering under the guidance of principal. Different issues like, organization of Sport competition for students musical programme, cultural programme, formation of various committees etc. were discussed regarding the smooth functioning of annual gathering and decided to be organized on 09,10 January 2023.
The inauguration programme commenced with the auspicious light of the ceremonial lamp of Jijau Mata by honourable Sanjay Yerne, well-known writer and Poet from Nagbhid on 09 January 2023.”The current era is a booming time of technology. Today, students can see an Android phone worth ten or twenty thousand in their hands. But those students do not have a simple computer at home. Considering the demand of the time, it is necessary for students to acquire computer knowledge. We should consider it an important matter to acquire knowledge, away from addictions. We should live and become addicted to books. We should strengthen our own wings by keeping our conscience intact. We should develop our own intellect without getting caught in anyone’s trap,” asserted Dr. Sanjay Yerne, a writer from Zadhipatti, at the inauguration of annual gathering “FLOCK 2023” in the grand pavilion of Shri Dnyanesh College. Dr. Suresh Bakare, the principal of the college, presided over the program on this occasion and gave best wishes for participants for different competitions. In the last two years, due to Corona, the talents of the students did not get a chance to innovate. This time there was a lot of enthusiasm from students and they were happy that “FLOCK 2023” was being inaugurated with great enthusiasm. This program is coordinated by Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar. Dr Umesh Indurkar, Head of Cultural Department explained about the role in the organization of the entire event, as well as the various competitions in this event. The vote of thanks for the program was given by Junior College Supervisor Prof. Geeta Sonawane. Volunteers of National Service Scheme as well as teaching and non-teaching staff of the college worked hard for the success of the programme.
Various competitions like Rangoli, Bouquet making, Singing, Acting, Mime, Skit, Quiz, Antakshari, Solo dance, Group dance, and traditional Costumes were organized in the entire two-day event. The Staff from junior and senior worked as jury members at various competitions. 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in these various competitions were awarded with certificates and mementos by Sukhdev Patil Anande, member of Bhartiya Shikshan Sanstha, on 10 January 2023 in valedictory.
