NSS wing of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Navargaon organized an awareness and guidance programme for students on de-addiction and cyber security under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amrut Lanje and NSS programme office Dr. Hemant Meshram. The main objective of the programme was to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of addiction and the increasing risks associated with cybercrime.

Police Sub-Inspector Shri Shrikant Lanjewar and Woman Assistant Police Inspector Smt. Bhondwe from Sindewahi Police Station were present as the chief guests and resource persons. The programme was presided over by Hon. Sadanand Borkar, Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Sanstha, Navargaon.

The chief guests guided the students about the physical, mental and social consequences of drug and substance addiction. They emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy, disciplined and addiction-free lifestyle. Students were encouraged to stay away from harmful substances and make positive choices for their future.

The speakers also provided valuable guidance on cyber security and online safety. They discussed online fraud, safe use of social media, protection of passwords and personal information, suspicious links and messages, and precautions to be taken while using digital platforms. Students were advised to remain alert and responsible while using the internet and social media.

In his presidential address, Hon. Sadanand Borkar appealed to the students to stay away from addiction and make responsible and positive use of technology. He stated that such awareness programmes play an important role in developing social responsibility and awareness among young people.

The programme was anchored by Prof. Gyanidas Gahane, while Prof. Geeta Sonawane proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with a collective pledge for de-addiction. The students actively participated in the programme and pledged to promote the message of a drug-free life and safe use of technology in society.

The programme was informative and effective in creating awareness among students about the importance of de-addiction, cyber security and responsible digital behaviour.
