The National Service Scheme Department of Shri Dnyanesh College, Nawargaon organized a blood donation camp and a guidance program on the topic of ‘Post-mortem Eye Donation’ on the occasion of the death anniversary of Swatantryaveer V. D. Savarkar on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the Pasayadan Hall of the college. The program was presided over by Principal Dr. Amrut Lanje and Dr. Umesh Indurkar were present as the chief guest. Indurkar sir, in his lecture, asserted that by donating blood while alive and donating eyes and other organs after death, many lives can be saved and one person can give sight to two people by donating eyes and one person can save the lives of three people by donating blood. In his presidential address, Principal Dr. Amrit Lanje shed light on the life of Swatantryaveer V. D. Savarkar and guided the students.
Dr. Chaudhary, Dr. Giradkar, Dr. Dr. Tanaji Shinde and other team members from Government Medical College, Chandrapur had come. The program was moderated by National Service Scheme Associate Program Officer Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar while the vote of thanks was given by Program Officer Dr. Hemant Meshram. The program was attended by a large number of students as well as college teachers and staff.
