The NSS Unit of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon, organized a College Campus Cleaning Drive to promote cleanliness, hygiene, environmental responsibility, and social awareness among students. Such cleanliness drives are an important part of NSS activities and encourage students to actively contribute to maintaining a clean and healthy educational environment.
The NSS volunteers actively participated in the cleanliness drive under the guidance of the NSS Programme Officer Dr. Hemant Meshram. The volunteers were divided into groups and assigned different areas of the campus. They cleaned classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, gardens, pathways, and other common areas. Plastic waste, dry leaves, paper and other unwanted materials were collected and properly disposed of.
The volunteers worked with enthusiasm and teamwork, demonstrating that cleanliness is a shared responsibility. Similar NSS campus-cleaning activities have been used effectively to promote hygiene, teamwork and environmental responsibility among students.
The NSS College Campus Cleaning Drive was successfully conducted with active participation from the volunteers. The activity reflected the NSS motto of “Not Me But You” by encouraging students to work for the welfare of the community and environment. The programme successfully conveyed the message that maintaining cleanliness is everyone’s responsibility.
