  2. To educate students about different types of cyber offences such as online fraud, identity theft, cyber bullying, and data misuse.
  3. To inform students about safe and responsible use of the internet, social media, and digital platforms.

Today, we are living in a digital era where the internet, mobile phones, and computers have become an inseparable part of human life. With just a single click, the world has come closer; however, behind the glitter of this technology lies a dark side as well cyber-crime. The misuse of modern technology has led to various cyber offences such as theft of personal information, financial fraud, and online harassment. These crimes not only cause financial losses but also have serious consequences on an individual’s mental well-being and social reputation. Therefore, creating awareness about cyber-crimes, their risks, and preventive measures has become an urgent need of the present time.

Keeping this objective in mind, NSS unit of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon organized an awareness programme on “Cyber Crime Awareness.” On this occasion, Mr. Kanchan Pandey, Police Inspector, Sindewahi Police Station, delivered valuable and insightful guidance to the students. The programme was presided over by Dr L C Ujede. The programme was compered and the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof Ravindra Deulwar. A large number of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff were present for the programme.

Outcomes / Outputs of Activity

  1. Students gained basic knowledge about cyber-crimes and their impact on individuals and society.
  2. Awareness was created regarding safe online practices and protection of personal data.
  3. Students understood the importance of cyber laws and the role of law enforcement agencies in preventing cyber-crimes.
