A special program was organized in Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya Nawargaon by National Service Scheme of collge on 22nd September 2025 in Pasayadan hall underbthe “Swacchata Hi Sewa” campaign to commemorate the contribution of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great philosopher, teacher, and former President of India. The event aimed at highlighting his thoughts on education and philosophy and their relevance in today’s world.
The NSS Programme Officers Dr. Hemant Meshram, delivered an introductory speech emphasizing Dr. Radhakrishnan’s role in promoting value-based education and his vision of teachers as nation-builders. Faculty members shared insights into his philosophy, which integrates Indian spiritual traditions with modern rational thought. His belief that education should not only impart knowledge but also build character, discipline, and moral values was underlined. Principal Dr. Amrut Lanje chaired the session.
Students actively participated by questions on his philosophy. They discussed how Dr. Radhakrishnan’s ideas inspire youth to pursue knowledge with humility, uphold cultural values, and contribute positively to society.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Durgesh Kshirsagar and a collective resolve to follow the ideals of Dr. Radhakrishnan in making education a tool for social transformation. The event not only enriched students’ understanding but also instilled respect for teachers and the noble profession of teaching.
