The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports New Delhi has launched an Experiential Learning Program (ELP) in Digital Agriculture for volunteers/ students from rural areas. These volunteers will actively participate in the Digital Crop Survey and eKYC of farmers, contributing to the broader goal of modernizing agriculture through technology. To ensure maximum outreach, NSS units of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya Navargaon Dist. Chandrapur organized workshop on “ELP for Digital Agriculture Mission” on 28th February 2025 in Pasayadan Hall of College.
In this program, from college selected two Ambassadors Rajan Lanjewar B.Sc. III and Purva Zode B.Sc. II for leading this initiative. NSS Program officer Dr. Hemantkumar Meshram given presentation SOP for Youth to apply for Agriculture ELP for conducting the outreach program. In his talk, he told, “Digital Agriculture Mission is a national initiative to develop Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) and youth have to promote farmer-centric digital services like Farmer Registry through e KYC of farmers, A crucial part of India’s Agri Stack that consolidates data on land holdings, cropping patterns, and farmer details, enabling access to government schemes and credit facilities. A mobile-based survey using geo-fencing and satellite imaging to capture real-time crop data, ensuring a reliable information source for various stakeholders. All NSS volunteers were present in this program.
