On behalf of the NSS Department of Shri Dnyanesh College, organized health awareness for the students, on the topic “Arogyam Dhansampada” by Jagdish Hedau. The program concluded on 12th October 2023 at exactly 10:30 am in Pasayadan Auditorium. Explaining the meaning of the Hindi phrase “Sar Salamat to Pagdi Pachas”, Dr. Hedau convinced the students, of the importance of maintaining health through various examples.
He told the students that a sattvic diet and exercise are the keys to maintaining health. He said regular exercise is the key to good health, and avoiding various addictions like tobacco, gutkha and alcohol. A sattvic diet provides various nutrients for the body, so keep your diet sattvic, don’t eat various cheesy foods for the sake of your tongue. The doctor explained how it is harmful to health by giving various examples. On this occasion, he also said to eat fruits instead of various favorite foods on such streets.
The program was chaired by Sadanand Borkar, Secretary, Bhartiya Shikshan Santha. The role and background behind the program, and the introduction of the guests were elaborated by Suresh Bakare, Principal of the college. Gajanan Kortalwar, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme, coordinated the program. Hemant Meshram, program Co-officer, presented the vote of thanks.
