Like every year, this year also department of mathematics organized an event for inaugurating the Mathematical society for the ongoing year. On the same event one talk was also arranged by the department. The invited personality was the mathematics faculty Mr Nagesh Dhore from Gramgeeta College Chimur. The topic of talk was ‘Mathematics: Structure and Application’.
The aim of the talk was to explore the inherent structure of mathematical concepts and their practical applications in various fields.
The lecture commenced with a comprehensive introduction to the foundational structures of mathematics, emphasizing key concepts such as algebra, Calculus and Analysis. The speaker adeptly navigated through abstract notions, providing concrete examples to illustrate the applicability of these structures.
The speaker facilitated an interactive session, encouraging questions and discussions from the students. Students were actively engaged in exploring specific applications of mathematical structures, seeking clarity on challenging concepts, and discussing potential extensions of these ideas in different domains.
The guest lecture on Mathematics: Structure and Application by Nagesh Dhore was a compelling exploration of the foundational structures of mathematics and their diverse applications. Attendees left with a deeper appreciation for the inherent beauty of mathematical concepts and a clearer understanding of their relevance in real-world scenarios. The event successfully bridged the gap between theoretical mathematics and practical applications, making it a valuable experience for all participants.
At the concluding session the Name of Mathematical society and its members were revealed by the hands of guest. Mr Bhaurao Balbudhe, Assistant Professor of Physics chaired the session and the event was compered by Mathematics department head Mr Ankosh Ramteke. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Gurnule.
