Department of Zoology, Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon organized “National Science Day 2025” for students at the department lab on 28th February 2025.
Dr A S Lanje, principal of college chaired the program, while Dr. Umesh Indurkar Head, Department of Zoology, delivered speech as a guest of function. The theme of this year for National Science Day 2025 is “Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat”. The theme will focus on encouraging young minds, recognizing groundbreaking contributions, and celebrating India’s scientific achievements. National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February 1928.
07 students participated and presented their view in different science based subjects. Payal Puttawar M Sc II, Priyanka Lanjewar M Sc II, Siddhi Mendulkar B Sc I, Purva Zode B Sc II, Dinesh Gahane B Sc I, Jaya Mahadore M Sc II and Rajan Lanjewar B Sc II talked on development in science and recent issue.
Dr. Umesh Indurkar has expressed his view on this occasion. He said National Science Day is celebrated to spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people. Students should keep scientific temperament and ask questions “why” for any tradition and rituals. Chairperson Dr A S Lanje said all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science used for human welfare. It is celebrated to discuss all the issues and implement new technologies for the development. This is an opportunity for students to encourage as well as popularize science & innovation for Viksit Bharat.
Ms Arti Meshram compared the program while Ms Hina Bhoyar proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Trushali Dekate and Ms Ashwini Zode took effort to organise this program. Large number of students and staff members were present on this occasion and made it successfully.
