Complete Story

Rajmata Jijau Jayanti and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti were celebrated with great enthusiasm at the College premises of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon on 12.01.2026 on 12 pm. The programme was organized by the NSS unit of college with the aim of inspiring students through the lives and teachings of two great personalities of India.

The programme began with the garlanding of the portraits of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda, followed by lighting of the lamp at the hands of Pricipal Dr. Amrut Lanje. In his introductory speech, the importance of Rajmata Jijau’s role in shaping the character of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was highlighted. Her values of courage, discipline, patriotism, and sacrifice were explained. The life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, especially his message to the youth-“Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached”-were also emphasized.

NSS Coordinator Dr. Hemantkumar Meshram compered the program by motivational speeches focusing on character building, self-confidence, national development, and sharing inspiring thoughts related to the lives of Rajmata Jijau and Swami Vivekananda.

The programme helped students understand the importance of moral values, leadership qualities, and dedication towards the nation. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof Durgesh Kshirsagar. All the teaching and non-teaching staff of college and students were present forthis program.
