Faculty of Science and Institute of Higher Learning Research and Specialized studies (IHLR & SS) of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya Nawargaon celebrated “National Science Day” in the institution auditorium Pasayadan by organising Science Story-telling Competition for the students. National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28 February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on 28 February which is a proud moment for every Indian. On this occasion, “Science Story-telling Competition” was organised for science as well as Arts faculty students. Total 13 students participated in the story telling competition. The students were shortlisted and three students were awarded with the cash prizes. Dr Indurkar, Mr Meshram Sir and Mr Ramteke Sir examined the competition. Introductory remark was made by Mr Balbudhe where he shared memories/ideas of C. V. Raman and expressed the role of the organisers in marking the event. Mr Ramteke elaborated on the importance of Science in everyday life of human being and appealed the students for developing scientific attitude in the life. The cash prices were distributed by the hands of Dr Ujede. Student Ruchita Meshram (B.Sc-II) conducted the proceedings and Khushboo Barsagade (B.Sc-II) proposed a vote of thanks. All the teaching faculty and students were present in the function.
