On behalf of the National Service Scheme Department of Shri Dn yanesh College, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was organized on 20.02.2025 at 9.30 am for college students in the Pasayadan Hall. The president of this program was Dr. Astik Mungmode, Head of the Economics Department. The head of the History Department, Prof. Vijay Wakode, presented the topic as the key speaker in this program. Speaking, he said, “The system spreads false history for its own interests by hiding the true history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. On the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary, the true history of Maharaj should be revised. The fact that Maharaj’s history is constantly being distorted for the interests of the system is a mockery of history. It is time to understand the true history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj instead of playing with history for our own interests”. For this, he brought the real history of Shivaji Maharaj to the attention of the students by taking various historical references. He presented the treatment of history in his speech by giving various references to how Shivaji Maharaj was the king of the entire ryot, how he was the king who went beyond caste and religion and established Swarajya and established a value system in Swarajya. The program was moderated by Rohit zode, a student. Dr. Hemant Meshram, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme, proposed the vote of thanks for the program.
