1. Shaping the students’ latent according to their acting skills.
2. To convey a message of awareness through Skit while portraying social disharmony.
3. To inculcate social consciousness among volunteers of the National Service Scheme through Skit.

The program was organized on the second day of the NSS week 2023 on the occasion of the National Service Scheme Day starting from 24th September on behalf of the National Service Scheme Department of Shri Dnyanesh College Nawargaon, in order to inculcate the cultural talents in the students to shape their personality and to give scope to their latent qualities, Skit competitions have been organized since last year.
This year also, on the second day, a second activity was organized, Monday 25th September 2023 from morning 11.30 am to 1.00 pm of the week, instructions were given to the students to create a code and present a ten-minute Skit on the topics of elimination of superstitions, environment protection, gender equality, literacy and drug addiction. Around five skits were produced by students from all groups of B.Sc. and B.A. First, Second, and Third year. All the audience volunteers and judges were satisfied with the performance of the Skit with a very beautiful social message. Honorable Sadanand Borkar, Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Santha and senior dramatist and Director of Zadipatti, was present as the judge for this Skit competition. Also, Dr. Waman Parwate, the former head department of Chemistry at the college and in the study of drama art, examined and presented the results and also gave some guidance to the students.

Outcomes / Outputs of Activity

1. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year BA and BSc students participated in the Skit competition by five groups.
2. The students created very beautiful Skits on the topics of misuse of water, addiction, superstition, farmers’ suicide, etc.
3. Totally 50 students in five groups showed seriousness regarding social awareness by acting themselves in this fun competition.
