While the motto ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ is being implemented across India this year through various activities. Shri Dnyanesh College’s National Service Scheme undertook the task of planting and conservation of 200 trees under this initiative. All the volunteers of National Service Scheme unit of Shri Dnyanesh College dig 100 pits for tree plantation on 8th and 9th September 2023 after regular college hours from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm for two days. Prepared for plantation by making 100 pits of size 1x1x1 feet for various trees like Karanji, Moh, Bel, Chinch, Neem, Amla, Jambhul. Between 12.30 pm to 1 pm breakfast was given to all the students on both days. Jaggery peanuts were distributed to the students on the first day to increase the haemoglobin of the students. On the second day, delicious Farsan was distributed to the students. Around 83 volunteers were present on both the days.
Tree plantation was done on Sunday 10th September 2023 between 9 to 10.30 am. All the students performed the plantation work very well for the purpose of rites of passage. On this occasion, the Principal of the college, Dr. Suresh Bakare, Program Officer of National Service Scheme, Dr. Gajanan Kortalwar and Associate Program Officer Prof. Hemant Meshram were present.
