The program was organized on 30.08.2025 at 9.00 am in Pasayadan Hall of College by the Cultural and National Service Scheme Department of the college under the theme “Understand the Constitution, Let’s Live the Constitution” with the aim of making the importance and features of the Indian Constitution known on the occasion of the Amrit Year of the Indian Constitution, the Amrit Year of the Bhartiya Shikshan Santha of Navergaon and the Memorial Day of the late Balaji Patil Borkar.

What is a constitution? A constitution is a written document or set of rules for the governance of any country, which provides fundamental rights, freedom, justice and equality to the citizens. It also provides a framework for the government and ensures the rule of law. The importance of the Indian constitution is that it establishes India as a sovereign, secular, socialist and democratic republic, which ensures the rights of the citizens and the future of the country. For this purpose, the architect of the Indian constitution, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, wrote the constitution and dedicated it to the people. Explaining the meaning of each word of the preamble of the constitution, the entire essence of the constitution is in the preamble itself. This was asserted by the chief guest of the program, Mr. Swapnil Fuse Sir. Dr. Smita Shende and Advocate Sonali Aparna Madam were also present as chief guests. They explained the meaning of the constitution to the audience through bhajans and kirtans.

Principal Dr. Amrit Lanje Sir took the initiative for the success of the program. Dr. Hemantkumar Meshram NSS Coordinator conducted the program, introduced the presenter and the guests. Dr. Dinesh Kathote expressed his gratitude for the program. The program was attended by Shri Dnyanesh Junior and Senior College Professors and 297 students.

  2. Citizens will be encouraged to participate in the democratic process, contributing to the country’s development and progress.
