Taluka Vidhi Sewa Pradhikaran Sindewahi and Taluka Vakil Sangh Sindewshi jointly organized a special legal awareness camp for the students of the institution in the auditorium ‘Pasaydaan’ at 10.00 today.
Secretary of Taluka Vakil Sangh Adv Nikure said that “The innocence of law has no excuse.” He highlighted about the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 related with sexual harassments and advised the teenager girls about ‘Good touch bad touch’. President of Taluka Vakil Sangh Adv Dalal explained the about dowry and its consequences by depicting in detail of Dowry Prevention Act (1961). PSI Mr Malle, Police Station, Sindewahi emphasized on the traffic rules and increasing accidents on the road. Adv Bodane put his views about Ragging and its consequences. Public Prosecutor Adv Bhandekar explained about the provisions of legal punishment in the various crimes. The chief guest Justice Shahaji Bhosale expressed his views on various acts and highlighted the importance of the Constitution of India. He also appealed all to cooperate all in legal advice thorough the legal desk availed by the court in Sindewahi. The organizer and Chairperson of the programme Principal Bakare Sir delivered the chairperson speech. Gahane Sir, dept. of Marathi (Jr. College) conducted the proceedings and Ms Sonwane Ma’am proposal a vote of thanks. The teachers of Senior as well as Junior College were present in the programme. All the students of Junior College and Senior College took active participation in the camp.
Legal awareness is very important information in the life of every human being. This workshop made the students aware about legal provisions. This information can be disseminated among the parents/relatives and neighbors.
