The department is established with the commencement of bachelors degree program in basic science (B.Sc.) in the year 1985. Department had highly qualified and dedicated faculty members since its establishment. Currently Department is having two faculty Mr. Ankosh Ramteke holding the position of Assistant professor and head of the department and Mr. Ratnakar Gurnule as Assistant professor (Contractual). Department offers three year course (CBCS Pattern) of the subject Mathematics divided in six semesters in B.Sc. Program. The department is also offering 4 year B.Sc. Honors degreee in Mathematics from academic year 2024-25.
AIMS
- To bring culture of learning Mathematics in the region.
- To develop logical and analytical thinking among the students.
OBJECTIVES
- To make every student able for self formulation of problems.
- To enable every student to apply Mathematics to a wide range of problems that occur in daily life.
- To develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to pursue further studies in mathematics.
