The institute is managed by Bharatiya Shikshan Sanstha committed for educating masses, especially SC, ST, NT and most backward region well known for rice belt and surrounded by dense forest since 1951. Presently society governs Nursery, Primary, two high schools at Palasgaon and Nawargaon, Mahavidyalaya with Junior and Senior and College for Fine Arts. Shri Balaji Patil Borkar popularly known by the name ‘Bawaji’ was a visionary with a keen interest in education. Inspiring by the teaching of RSS, with group of friends, he set up Bhartiya Shikhan Sanstha in 1951. Facing innumerable hurdles, he became ‘Shikshan-Maharshi’ in true sense. Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya is one of the oldest colleges in Chandrapur district. He was the founder President of BSS Nawargaon.
